Prayer & Praise

* This time of year lends itself to discouragement and even depression.
Pray that God will guard our hearts and minds.

* Continue to hold our students up in prayer and thank the Lord for their growth and development.

* Thank the Lord for our ladies, pastors and congregational members who gather on Wednesday mornings and evenings for prayer. God bless you!

* Pray for our 2012 slate of church officers as they oversee the responsibilities you as a congregation have entrusted them with.

Urgent Prayer requests from Voice Of Martyrs (VOM):

Radical Muslims killed 29 Christians in 2 days in Nigeria. The killings follow a threat on Jan 1 by Bok Haram telling Christians to leave northern Nigeria. Pray for peace in this troubled nation and for those who have lost loved ones.

Asia Bibi, in jail in Pakistan, has been interviewed by a journalist and stated that one of the prison workers recently tried to strangle her and she must prepare her own food for fear of poisoning. There is about $8000 offered by Islamic clerics to anyone who will kill her. She spends her days fasting and praying and said that she has forgiven her persecutors. She does see her family once a week. A lawyer has been hired by VOM to overturn her death sentence. Pray for strength, hope and God’s intervention.

Pastor Youcef, from Iran, again recently refused to recant his faith, despite the fact he would have been released. He was arrested in 2009 for apostasy and sentenced to death. Pray for Youcef’s courage and faith to continue to be an example to the world. Continue to hold his family up in prayer and to pray for his release.
