ABOUT

Pastor Richard Woollin

Hi everyone, my name is Rich Woollin and I started as the Pastor of Centreville Baptist Church, October 2020. I am originally from England but many years ago I met a wonderful woman from New Brunswick and the rest, as they say, is history. Jen & I have two daughters, our eldest is called Maeve and Josy is the younger. Prior to becoming the Pastor in Centreville, I worked at a Shiktehawk Bible Camp for five years. Camp is what brought us to this area and we are so glad we moved into “God’s country”.

When we considered the idea of coming to Centreville, my wife and I got very excited by the idea of serving in a Church which is rural and also in the heart of the village. We’d love for you to come and see us, I’m sure you will find that Centreville Baptist Church is a place which takes faith seriously, but ourselves…… not so much.

Youth Director Jenna MacLeod

“Hi everyone!

I am Jenna MacLeod and I am super excited to be joining Centreville Baptist Church to serve the children and the youth in the area. I grew up in Woodstock and graduated in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Crandall University. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Global Health online through NYU.

I have spent the past 7 summers serving at Shiktehawk Bible Camp in many roles, including the Summer Director in 2021. I have truly loved spending time with children and youth at camp while spreading the love of God (and having fun). I am excited to continue to do that in Centreville this year through my role working in the children and youth ministry.”

Statement of Fellowship

We believe that under the leading and enabling of the Holy Spirit, we serve together in brotherly love with Christian sympathy and kindness, exercising care for one another with tenderness and humility and admonishing and helping each other.

We are just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, courteous in our speech, slow to take offence, ready for reconciliation and so fulfilling the Law of Christ.

It is our practice to gather together on Sunday for corporate worship, prayer, teaching and fellowship.

We practice principles of stewardship that involve the use of our gifts, abilities and resources for the support of our ministry.

Our Beliefs

Scriptures

We believe the sixty-six books of the Bible comprised of the Old and New Testaments to be God breathed and that they reveal God's will in matters of faith and conduct.

God

We believe in one God, Creator of all, Holy, Sovereign, Eternal, existing in three equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, was crucified, dies and was buried; the third day He rose from the dead and He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right-hand of God the Father. We believe that he will return.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and deity of the Holy Spirit and His residing in all believers. We believe His ministries to be: regenerating, indwelling, baptizing and filling the believer, convicting and restraining of sin, convincing of righteousness and judgement.

Mankind

We believe that man was divinely created in the image of God; that man sinned, and became guilty before God, resulting in his total depravity, thereby incurring physical and spiritual death.

Sin

We believe sin to be the violation of God's character and law.

Salvation

We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of God's grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is God's setting apart the believer from sin unto Himself for service.

Future

We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, we believe, we believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, in the reward of the just and the judgement of the unjust.

Satan

We believe that Satan is a personal being, once the highest ranking of all angelic creatures; that he sinned through pride, that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man.

The Church

We believe that the Church consists of all those that believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ is the head of the church called His body. The local church is the body of believers who are joined together for the worship of God for edification of its members and proclamation of the gospel.

Ordinances

We believe in a believers baptism by immersion in water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit setting forth the believers identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

We believe in the practice of celebrating The Lord's Supper with elements symbolizing the Lord's body and shed blood and proclaiming His death until He comes.
